ILLUSTRATIVE INTRO ANIMATION
An illustrative intro sequence built around expression, escape, and growth.
Year :
2026
Industry :
Motion Design
Client :
AKS STUDIO
Project Durations :
3 Weeks

Solution :
To solve this, I designed a short, illustrative intro that acts as the channel’s visual signature. Instead of relying on logos or heavy branding, the animation leans into retro-inspired illustrations, expressive shapes, and bold color contrasts to immediately signal creativity and personality - right from the first few seconds.
Each frame reflects a different creative state - communication, escape, connection, identity, and growth - so the intro feels emotionally driven rather than just visually pleasing. Built as a modular system, the sequence can be rearranged, looped, or adapted across different videos, helping maintain a consistent identity while staying flexible enough to evolve with the content.

Challenge :
The biggest challenge was saying something meaningful in a very short amount of time. With just a few seconds to earn attention, the visuals had to feel expressive and full of energy - without turning chaotic or overwhelming.
Another key balance was blending retro-inspired aesthetics with modern clarity. The intro needed to carry a sense of nostalgia, but still feel clean, approachable, and easy to read for today’s digital audience. On top of that, the system had to stay flexible - designed in a modular way so it could adapt across different video formats while still feeling consistent in tone, rhythm, and overall identity.

Hooks
To identify the strongest opening, I explored multiple hook variations that approached the problem from different angles, including customer retention, churn, and missed revenue opportunities. Each hook was designed to speak directly to a pain point experienced by brand owners. After evaluating them, I selected the first hook because it was the most curiosity driven and outcome focused, making it the most effective at capturing attention and encouraging viewers to continue watching.

Script strategy
The script follows a simple problem to solution structure to keep the message clear and persuasive. It begins by highlighting a common retention challenge, uncovers the reason behind it, positions Loop as the solution, and concludes with a strong call to action. This approach delivers value quickly while maintaining engagement throughout the video.

Tools & visual style
The video was created using a combination of Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Illustrator, alongside AI tools to streamline scripting, voice generation, and production workflows. Visually, I opted for a clean and premium aesthetic with minimal clutter, strong typography, and illustrative motion design. This approach enhances readability, reinforces the SaaS brand positioning, and keeps viewers engaged throughout the video.
